And what exactly is that supposed to mean, huh?

There was a point a long time ago when "life" meant something very concrete and specific, as in "your life," and people talked about "your death" and "your life" and "my life," not in the abstract, because it had specific referents in the concrete world that could be pointed to.

This post isn’t really all that philosophical, it’s more a sad story.

A long time ago in Norway, there was a black metal musician called Euronymous who liked to talk shit about the death metal bands of his day. In his view, their lyrics were too pro-social and “responsible”, which was a mockery of what metal was all about. He sneered that they weren’t really death metal bands but should be called LIFE metal and basically he couldn’t wait to murder the shit out of them.

But Euronymous had a friend called Varg, who was a huge SJW and really liked pro-social death metal. Varg got so angry that Euronymous was always insulting all his favourite bands that he murdered him for it.

Today, Euronymous’ spirit haunts online minigames and taunts people who listen to the bands he mocked back then. He can only find rest once he gets revenge on Varg, but Varg is too busy arguing with teenagers on Twitter about his RPG system. So they’re hanging out on different sites, both in their own limbo.

As you can see, the story is very sad and touching.
